Cost for updates.
Adding new products, pages, new photos and changing text.
The typical E-commerce website is updated once or more per month. Clients
that have a set number of products will normally have less updates than
those that provide seasonal or promotional items that change periodically.
Example 1: A website that sells Ladies Dresses will
update their site with every new dress style that's in fashion. This could
be many updates each month.
Example 2: A website that only sells chocolate
chip cookies may only update the price each year if needed.
These two examples show how extremely different the cost can be to keep a
website up-to-date.
We recommend to clients when it is reasonable to purchase our DIY (Do It Yourself) option, if
they suspect that they will need more than 30 updates per year.
The DIY option is not for every client, and we will recommend it on a case by case basis.
